Williams Mullen, a law firm with offices throughout Virginia,
Washington, DC and London has a long and outstanding history in the legal
profession. In renovating their Norfolk office, they wanted to embrace their
heritage as well as their future with a new corporate identity. GFI was
commissioned to give the fifteen-year old space a revitalized edge and progressive
appeal for their employees and clients.
The new elevator lobby is designed with light cherry and mahogany woods,
classic earth tone finishes and an innovative drywall barrel vault ceiling.
The reception area features a founded light cherry and mahogany reception
desk dwelling from a central point with a back drop of curved, v-shaped
folds and obscured-vision glass panels. A three-level boat shape illuminated
drywall ceiling adds warmth to the waiting area.
Corridors and private spaces are also finished with earth tones that are
inviting and pleasing to both clients and staff. The overall concept for
the interiors is a successful reflection of Williams Mullens existing
roots and the firms future direction. |
