When SunTrust Bank relocated its off-site Commercial Credit Services to its operations facility in Richmond, Virginia, GFI was asked to design the new data center. The fast-track project allowed for six weeks of design time and six weeks to produce drawings for the 40,000 square foot space.

The project involved designing corporate interiors to house a staff of 120 as well as training facilities for up to 150 people. The reception area incorporates an artwork display to enhance the space and welcome visitors. Informal seating areas were designed to facilitate impromptu meetings and provide additional workspace for staff members. And to allow visitors to contact their SunTrust Bank representative directly in the building, GFI designed an Information Center in the elevator lobby. A specialized vault was also designed to provide a secure storage area for files.
