GFI acted as its own interior architect when it came time to expand and remodel its Fan-based studios. In the expansion, GFI grew to two floors and inherited a retail storefront which allowed tremendous street visibility but very little privacy. We also decided to practice what we preach by using very economical and interesting materials to accomplish an end product that is spectacular.

All of our designers were moved to the downstairs studio that was divided with low partitions made of a translucent plastic which allowed for working privacy, but did not isolate the team and maintained an airy feeling. Warm colors on alternating walls were used to soften the space and further the distinctiveness of our studios. Moveable furniture allows each designer to customize their working environment to their needs. A final touch is the custom signage which is completely visible to anyone who passes by our storefront.
